Buy the Missive Bag sewing pattern from Sew Liberated. The Missive Bag is the perfect size for carrying your phone and keys on small adventures, compact enough to function as a bonus pocket without the bulk of a purse. 

With a detachable strap, the Missive Bag can be worn over your shoulder or as a belt bag. It is fully lined and features an internal zippered pocket and a magnetic closure. The curved seams on the front add volume to the bag and feature hand sewn edge stitching. The flap also features hand sewn edge stitching.

Main: Canvas, oiled canvas, waxed canvas, twill, or other mid to heavy weight fabric with no stretch and a stable weave. Suggested weight: 7-11 oz. (238-373 gsm).

Lining: Quilting cotton or similar mid weight fabric with no stretch and a stable weave. Suggested weight: 4 oz. (140 gsm).

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 44" (112 cm) or 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 1/4 yd (0.2 m) OR a fat quarter (18" x 22" / 45.7 cm x 55.9 cm).

Lining: Fat quarter (18" x 22" / 45.7 cm x 55.9 cm).

Sizing: 7 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" tall x 1" deep (19.1 cm x 14 cm x 2.5 cm).
