Petits D'om Aconit Skort, Shorts or Skirt

Buy the Child/Teen Aconit Skort, Shorts or Skirt sewing pattern from Petits D'om. The skirt is a little longer than the shorts while remaining relatively short (mid-thigh). The skort is made by adding a front panel to the shorts. A front panel can also be added to the skirt. The panel can be simple or have frills or a scalloped edge. There are also options for Italian pockets and small topstitched knife pleats. The waistband can be decorated with a bow. With so many options, you can sew more than 60 possible versions!

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight woven fabric: chambray, tencel, poplin, linen, viscose, thin denim, seersucker...The ideal choice is a fabric that doesn't wrinkle too much.

Fabric requirements:

Main fabric: 140 cm (54") wide fabric: Shorts or skirt, 35 - 100 cm (3/8 - 1 1/8 yd) // Skort or skirt with front panel, 65 - 100 cm (3/4 - 1 1/8 yd).

Secondary fabric (panel lining, pockets, bow): 140 cm (54") wide fabric: 30 - 50 cm (3/8 - 1/2 yd).

Note: The yardage of the main fabric is enough if you want to cut the panel lining and pockets in it too.

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: Elastic, 2.5 cm (1") wide for 2-8 years or 3 cm (1 1/8") wide for 10-16 years, 48 - 76 cm (18 7/8" - 30").
