Buy the M8501 Vintage 1990's Sarong Dress sewing pattern from McCalls. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Vintage McCall’s 1990’s sarong dress in two lengths sewing pattern. Set of straight fitting dresses have bias tape forming waistline casing for elastic, shaped front hemline for walking ease, front drape sewn into right side seam and tie sewn into left side seam at waist. Authentic vintage reproduction.

Suggested fabrics: Challis, Charmeuse, Crepe de Chine, Handkerchief Linen, Jersey, Lightweight Crepe, Lightweight Linen, Rayon Blends, Silk, Silk Jacquard, Soft Cotton and Cotton Blends, Tissue Faille. NOTE: Not suitable for diagonals.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: D5 (4-6-8-10-12) P5 (12-14-16-18-20), which is approx. UK sizes D5 (4 – 8), P5 (8– 16) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements. 

Notions: Thread. 1 3/8 yds. (1.3m) of 1/2" (1.3cm) single fold bias tape, 1 yd. (1.0m) of 3/8" (1cm) elastic.
