Grainline Studio Town Bag

Buy the Town Bag sewing pattern from Grainline Studio. Originally designed and sold by Fringe Supply Co., the Town Bag is a great everyday purse and/or do-it-all project bag, no matter what your project may be. It has the same drawstring closure and interior pockets – designed for corralling tools, patterns, and miscellany – as the Field Bag (minus the grommets), but with the addition of tote-style handles and external front and back pockets. It's large enough to fit a Field Bag inside but small enough to fit into a larger bag if needed.

Suggested fabrics: 8-10 oz. cotton canvas.

Fabric requirements: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 1 yd (0.9 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 yd (0.9 m).

Sizing: Finished bag measurements: Width 11" (27.9 cm) // Depth 6" (15.2 cm) // Height 11" (27.9 cm) // Handle drop 5" (12.7 cm).

Notions: Thread; 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) of 1 1/4" wide cotton webbing; 2 1/2 yd (2.3 m) of 5/32" circumference 100% cotton braided cording; eight 6 mm/6.4 mm post double cap rivets (optional); 3/32" round punch (optional); 6 mm rivet setter with base (optional); mallet (optional); denim machine needle.
