True Bias Emerson Crop Pant and Short

Buy the Emerson Crop Pant and Short sewing pattern from True Bias. Emerson is a pull-on crop pant or short with an elasticised back and flattering front waistband. Views A and B have a mid rise that sits just below the natural waist. Views C and D have a high rise that sits over the belly button. All views have front pleats and side pockets. Views A and C are a cropped, wide leg pant, hitting a couple of inches above the ankle. Views B and D are a short with an approximate 4 inch inseam.

What we think: The elasticated band on the back is going to make fitting these a lot easier. We really like that the front is fairly flat apart from the pleats.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton, rayon challis, chambray and lightweight denim.

Fabric requirements: 45" (114 cm) and 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: Views A and C, 2.5 - 2.7 yd (2.3 - 2.5 m) // Views B and D, 1.5 - 1.75 yd (1.4 - 1.6 m).

Sizing: 0 – 18 (approx. UK 8 – 20). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Coordinating thread; lightweight fusible interfacing (0.25 yd); 1 1/2" wide elastic (1 yd); safety pin.
