Suggested fabrics and fabric requirements:

Main: 1 yd (0.9 m) of 54" (137 cm) wide fabric. Canvas, oiled canvas, waxed canvas, twill, or other mid- to heavy-weight fabric with no stretch and a stable weave. Suggested weight: 7-11 oz. (238-373 gsm).

Contrast: 0.8 yd (0.75 m) of 44" (112 cm) wide fabric. Quilting cotton or similar mid-weight fabric, like Essex cotton-linen blend, with no stretch and a stable weave. Scraps work well for the contrast fabric. Suggested weight: 4 oz. (140 gsm).

Backing: 0.9 yd (0.8 m) of 44" (112 cm) wide fabric. Quilting cotton or similar mid-weight fabric, like muslin, with no stretch and a stable weave. This fabric will not show on the final bag. Suggested weight: 4 oz. (140 gsm).

Lining: 1.2 yd (1.1 m) of 44" (112 cm) wide fabric. Quilting cotton or similar mid-weight fabric with no stretch and a stable weave. Suggested weight: 4 oz. (140 gsm).

Wadding/batting: 60" x 30" (152 cm x 76 cm). Soft cotton quilting wadding/batting.

Sizing: Finished bag measurements: H 25" (63.5 cm) unrolled or 16-20" (40.6-50.8 cm) rolled x W 12" (30 cm) x D 5" (12.7 cm).
