Petits D'om Villanelle Cardigan/Jacket

Buy the Child/Teen Villanelle Cardigan/Jacket sewing pattern from Petits D'om. Version A has a classic length and can be made with pockets. Version B has a peplum. There are options for a neckline yoke (which can be embellished with a frill, piping, lace, etc.) or a collar that extends into a mini hood at the back. The bottom of the sleeve can also have a small embellished cuff. From the simplest to the most sophisticated version, Villanelle will find a place in your child's wardrobe!

Suggested fabrics: 

Main fabric: Medium-thick, more or less stretchy fabric. Sweatshirt, fleece, knit, quilted, jacquard.

Secondary fabric (button placket, undercollar, inside of peplum, neckline bias (version without yoke), frills, sleeve cuffs): Fine cotton fabric such as batiste or Liberty lawn.

Fabric requirements: 

Main fabric: 140 cm (54″) wide fabric: Version A, 60 - 130 cm (24" - 52") // Version B, 80 - 150 cm (32" - 59").

Secondary fabric: 110 cm (44") wide fabric: 40 - 60 cm (16" - 24").

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing suited to secondary fabric, 40 cm x 60 cm (16" x 24"); buttons or snaps, 10-12 mm (3/8"-1/2") diameter, 5-7 for Version A or 4-6 for Version B // Optional: piping, lace braid, etc. to edge pocket openings (40 cm/16"), bottom of neckline yoke (80 cm/32"), sleeve cuffs (55 cm/22").
