Petits D'om Thalassa Swimsuit

Buy the Child/Teen Thalassa Swimsuit sewing pattern from Petits D'om. Thalassa is a one-piece or two-piece swimsuit. The two-piece version has a classic bikini bottom and three top options: a racerback bra top, a long top with a racerback, or a bandeau with thin straps, crossed or not. The one-piece version has a racerback. You can add frills at the thighs, and a gathered ruffle at the waist of the two-piece swimsuit or on the bandeau. Thalassa can be sewn with a sewing machine or an overlocker/serger.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main and secondary fabric: Bi-stretch lycra with at least 70% stretch.

Lining (for gusset): Swimsuit lining or light fine jersey.

Fabric requirements: 

Main fabric: 140 cm (58″) wide fabric: One-piece or two-piece with long top, 60 - 95 cm (3/4 - 1 yd) // Two-piece with bra or bandeau top, 40 - 50 cm (1/2 - 5/8 yd).

Secondary fabric (for optional ruffle and bias): 140 cm (58″) wide fabric: 20 cm (1/4 yd).

Lining: 20 cm x 20 cm (8″ x 8″).

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: Rubber elastic, 8 mm - 9 mm (5/16″ - 3/8") wide: one-piece or two-piece with long top, 1.5 - 2.2 m (1 3/4 - 2 3/8 yd) / two-piece with bra or bandeau top, 2.3 - 3.6 m (2 1/2 - 4 yd); ready-made spaghetti strap cord, 70 - 105 cm (7/8 - 1 1/8 yd) OR 5 cm (2") of lycra on width + optional rubber elastic, 6 mm - 8 mm (1/4" - 5/16") wide, 70 - 105 cm (7/8 - 1 1/8 yd).
