Petits D'om Tayrona Swimsuit

Buy the Child/Teen Tayrona Swimsuit sewing pattern from Petits D’om. This pattern includes options for a one-piece swimsuit, two-piece swimsuit or trikini (looks like a one-piece at the front and a two-piece at the back). The bottom of the swimsuit has a retro-style rounded finish with a bias band. The straps come together at the back for a racerback effect, and the suit is cut under the shoulder blades for more comfort and freedom of movement when swimming. For each version you can choose between a classic bikini bottom or shorts shape, and there are two height options for the front neckline.

Main and secondary fabric: Lycra for swimwear.

Lining (for gusset): Swimsuit lining or light fine jersey.

Fabric requirements: 

Main fabric: 140 cm (54″) wide fabric: One-piece and trikini, 45 - 80 cm (1/2 - 7/8 yd) // Two-piece, 30 - 40 cm (3/8 - 1/2 yd).

Secondary fabric (back of top): 140 cm (54″) wide fabric: One-piece, 20 - 35 cm (1/4 - 3/8 yd) // Two-piece and trikini, 20 cm (1/4 yd).

Lining: 20 cm x 20 cm (8" x 8").

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: 6 mm (1/4") wide rubber elastic (non-transparent), 2.1 - 3.4 m (2 3/8 - 3 3/4 yd) for one-piece, 2.7 - 4.4 m (3 - 4 7/8 yd) for trikini, 1.6 - 2.7 m (1 3/4 - 3 yd) for two-piece; 2 cm (3/4") wide rubber elastic (non-transparent) for two-piece only, 0.95 - 1.45 m (1 - 1 5/8 yd); if you want to cut the finishing bias in another piece of lycra, you will need 10 cm (4") on width.
