Notches Billy Top and Dress

Buy the Billy Top and Dress sewing pattern from Notches. Billy is a versatile piece which you can make as a top or as a long or short dress. It has a dropped shoulder and several sleeve variations: sleeveless with trim, a straight short sleeve, a short ruffled sleeve, a long ruffled sleeve, and a double (combi) ruffled sleeve. The neckline can have a facing or jersey trim depending on whether you choose to make your top or dress in woven or knit fabric. The neckline is wide enough so you pop it over your head (no fastenings). The long dress has slits at the sides and optional front pockets.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Both the top and dress are super comfy when made in a knit fabric or jersey. Because of the wide fit, woven fabrics are also suitable. Choose flowy fabrics such as medium-weight viscose or polyester blends, tencel, bamboo, modal or cupro. This design is less suitable for thick fabrics with little drape.

Sizing: EU 34 – 56 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing (for options with facing and/or pockets), max. 20 cm.
