Buy the Cara Top sewing pattern from the Modern Sewing Co. The Cara Top is a simple summer blouse that is flexible enough to wear in a wafty muslin at the beach or in a smarter silk as part of a wedding two-piece. The cut features a square officer collar, small bust dart and gentle A-line silhouette. It comes with two length options, shorter to sit right on the hip or a little longer to hit the top of the thigh.

Suggested fabrics: Cotton poplin/lawn, linen, silk, light woollen weave, flannel/brushed cotton.

Fabric requirements: 

150 cm (60") wide fabric: 0.95 - 1.6 m (1 - 1 3/4 yd).

110 cm (44") wide fabric: 1.5 - 1.6 m (1 5/8 - 1 3/4 yd).

Sizing: UK 4 – 28 (approx. UK 4/6 – 26, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted for a height of 5'8" and a cup size 'C'.

Notions: 5 buttons, roughly 1 cm diameter; 20 cm of mid/lightweight iron-on fusing // If you are using the flat binding finishing technique, you will need an additional metre of fabric to cut your binding. This can be self fabric or another piece of lightweight cotton.
