Fehr Trade Threshold Shorts

Buy the Threshold Shorts sewing pattern from Fehr Trade. These running shorts were designed for lightweight wovens or mesh fabrics and feature three optional pockets, curved seamlines, a bound hem, and elastic waist. An optional runderwear brief or thong can be attached at the waistband or worn separately.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

- PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you'll need to download the digital instructions, as we don't print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Shorts: Aerated wicking polyester such as Dri-FIT, Coolmax, etc, or lightweight woven nylon (similar to ripstop) // Runderwear: Lycra jersey with at least 50% stretch in both directions and good recovery (wicking Lycra is ideal!) and small scrap of natural fibre fabric for crotch lining.

Fabric requirements: Shorts: 0.9 m (3/4 yd) // Runderwear: 0.4 m (3/8 yd).

Sizing: XXS – XL (approx. UK 6 – 18). Please check the size chart.

Notions: Twin needle or coverstitch for elastic edges and hem; 2 m FOE (fold over elastic) or other binding; less than 1 m of 2 cm (3/4") woven (braided) waistband elastic; 2 m of 6 mm (1/4") wide lingerie elastic for integrated runderwear OR 3 m for standalone runderwear.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (21 pages: 15 for shorts, 6 for runderwear); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector file. This pattern is layered so you can print just the size(s) you need.
