Emporia Patterns Roan Trousers

Buy the Roan Trousers sewing pattern from Emporia Patterns. Roan is a barrel leg trouser with a loose and comfy fit for a cool and casual feel. The trousers have a medium rise waist, deep cutaway front pockets, a classic back yoke, and back patch pockets. The back waist has a length of elastic inserted into the waistband to make for an easy fit. A fly zip and topstitching add jeans style detailing, but without the faff of making actual jeans.

Suggested fabrics: Lighter weight denim (no more than 7.5 oz), linen and linen blends with structure, needlecord, drill, cotton twill, canvas. Any fabric that has enough weight and structure to carry off the barrel shape, but not so heavy that you have lots of bulky seams to navigate!

Fabric requirements: 150 cm wide fabric: Sizes 6-12, 2 m // Sizes 14-30, 2.3 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 30 (approx. UK 8 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements. 

Notions: 30 cm of interfacing; 15 cm zip; buttons, hooks and bars, or poppers for front closure; 25 mm wide elastic for back waist.
