Chalk and Notch Reya Pants and Shorts

Buy the Reya Pants and Shorts sewing pattern from Chalk and Notch. The Reya is a wide-leg pants and shorts pattern with a front pin tuck detail. The waist is finished with elastic and an optional drawstring. The pattern includes high-rise and mid-rise options. There are four inseam lengths for the pants view: 26" (66 cm), 28" (71 cm), 30" (76 cm) and 32" (81 cm). The shorts inseam is 3" (7.5 cm). Both views include optional side seam pockets and back patch pockets.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: This style is designed for medium weight (5-7 oz.) woven fabrics. Hemp, linen, rayon, twill blends, wool.

Fabric requirements: Minimum fabric required is listed. If you think you will need more for shrinkage, directional print, pattern matching or print repeat, please purchase accordingly. 

44" (112 cm) wide fabric: Pants, 2.75 - 3.25 yd (2.5 - 3 m) // Shorts, 1.5 - 2.5 yd (1.4 - 2.2 m).

54" (137 cm) wide fabric: Pants, 2.75 yd (2.5 m) // Shorts, 1.5 - 1.75 yd (1.4 - 1.6 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 30 (approx. UK 8 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 0.5 yd/m of lining fabric (rayon bemberg or rayon challis) OR 0.5 yd/m of additional main fabric (if lightweight) for side pockets; 0.25 yd/m of tricot fusible interfacing; 1.5 yd (1.4 m) of 1" (2.5 cm) waist elastic.
