Bobbins and Buttons Jayne Pinafore Dress

Buy the Jayne Pinafore Dress sewing pattern from Bobbins and Buttons. This easy fit, A-line pinafore dress has no zip. It fastens with buttons at the shoulders. There are two options: a seamless front panel with large shaped patch pockets, or a panelled back and front with hidden in-seam pockets offering an opportunity to mix colours or prints.

Suggested fabrics: Woven fabrics including linen, medium weight denim, medium weight cotton and medium weight blended fabrics.

Fabric requirements: 

Pocket dress: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1.7 - 2.75 m (1.85 - 3 yd) // 112 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.7 - 3 m (2.95 - 3.28 yd).

Panelled dress: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Top panel, 1.15 m (1.25 yd) / Lower panel, 0.75 - 1.2 m (0.82 - 1.31 yd) // 112 cm (45″) wide fabric: Top panel, 1.9 - 2.3 m (2.07 - 2.51 yd) / Lower panel, 1.2 m (1.31 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 22 (approx. UK 6 - 18/20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing (optional); two 30 - 35 mm buttons.
